PPC congratulates Debbie Saulnier first recipient of the Pharmacy Residency Preceptorship Award for Halifax

Pharmaceutical Partners of Canada is pleased to recognize Debbie Saulnier as the first recipient of the Pharmacy Residency Preceptorship Award being made available to all the preceptors working at the Capital Health Authority in Halifax.

Debbie graduated with her BSc in Pharmacy from Dalhousie University in 2000. She then went on to complete a Pharmacy residency Program at the Moncton Hospital in 2001. Upon conclusion of that program, Debbie accepted a position at Capital Health in Halifax. Her first year was spent working clinically in the Mental Health program. For the last seven years she has worked in Medical Oncology. Debbie recently completed a post graduate course in “Pharmacy and Therapeutics of Systemic Cancer Therapy” at Dalhousie.

Over the last several years Debbie has precepted several residents as well as fourth year pharmacy students.

The award was voted on by the residents themselves who found Debbie’s contribution to them to be outstanding not only from a clinical but a professional perspective. PPC congratulates Debbie Saulnier for her contributions and for mentoring young professionals entering into the hospital pharmacy practice.

Great job Debbie! You are a fine example of what hospital pharmacists should be. Congratulations.
